Even though this was a short business trip, I have to say that this hotel offers really lovely accommodations, especially when staying in a room with a Parliament view. Room was clean, bed super comfortable and most importantly their hotel staff, starting with the reception, are some of the most hospitable and kind people in the industry, always willing to help no matter the topic...Hotel Mercure is the perfect B&B place in Belgrade and I will certainly come back!!

From the get-go, I was greeted by the kind and hospitable staff which made me feel like I was at home. The room was clean and spacious with a magnificent view of parliament. You can't find a better location than this, just minutes away from the main pedestrian zone. Most importantly amazing hotel staff is what makes this place so charming and unique.

Don’t Stay Here… Broken elevators and rude staff.

We are here with a large group. The elevator broke and trapped four people in it for an hour. Still not working and we wouldn’t trust it anyway. We have to climb six very tall flights of stairs up and down to the room. There are no outlets next to the twin beds. Asked for extension cords - they can’t find any. The rooms are dated and dirty. Find another hotel!

Centrally based and nice upgrades when i got there. Friendly staff and nice rooms. The elevator is small and rhere is only one available. The barfood selection is limited and about breakfast there are no special remarks as this was good. I will come back

The hotel is located very centrally in Belgrade, which is very convenient with easy access almost everywhere. And I think the above is the only great thing about his hotel, as other than that is quite average. Although my original communication with the team regarding my booking seemed started good, when I sent an email regarding some specific questions, I never got a reply back. Upon check-in, I clearly stated that I wanted to prepay my accommodation, including any related taxes, so that upon checkout I had no extra worries and make it an easy and fast one. I was reassured that I was charged with the total amount, only to find upon checkout that there were some extra taxes that I had ro pay. I believe it was a misunderstanding from the hotel staff, who insisted though they had explained everything. In general, staff were not that accommodating nor the kind of people that show genuine interest to the guest, more like a "we're here to just do the job". The hotel itself, is rather worn and needs some kind of renovation. The room was very basic, it had a side street view, which I didn't mind. What was very odd was that the toilet seat was in a little separate room, by itself. It felt like a punishment room or something, very weird. We asked for body lotion, but it smelt so bad that we bought our own. Breakfast was basic too. Very standard, only with a few local products. I really liked a kind of spead they have, something between butter and yogurt, with a very soft texture, which was very tasty. Overall, for a 4* hotel there is definitely room for improvement in many levels. I think that you can find much better service in another hotel.
